Die Aktivit\u00e4ten, F\u00fchrungen und Veranstaltungen des Austauschprogramms thematisierten das fast einhundertj\u00e4hrige Ringen des finnischen Volks um nationale Selbstbestimmung und Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit. Im Rahmen des Programms besuchten wir historisch bedeutsame Orte sowie Ausstellungen, Dokumentationen und Museen, von denen eine Auswahl im folgenden Bericht vorgestellt wird. <\/p>\n\n\n

Helsinki <\/strong>ist die Hauptstadt der Republik Finnland und zugleich das politische, wirtschaftliche,
wissenschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum des Landes. Im Kansallismuseo (Nationalmuseum) wird
Finnlands Geschichte von der Steinzeit bis in die Gegenwart pr\u00e4sentiert. Die st\u00e4ndige Ausstellung
ist in sechs Teile gegliedert. Wir besuchten den Teil, der sich mit dem Ringen um Finnlands Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit und Kultur im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert befasst.<\/p>\n\n\n

Suomenlinna <\/strong>ist eine im 18. Jahrhundert entstandene Festung auf miteinander verbundenen Inseln vor der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki. In einer interessanten, spannenden und auch humorvollen F\u00fchrung erfuhren wir von der wichtigen und wechselhaften Geschichte der Festung unter schwedischer, russischer und finnischer Hoheit sowie auch Denk- und Merkw\u00fcrdiges \u00fcber die fr\u00fcheren Bewohner der Festung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hanko <\/strong>ist die s\u00fcdlichste Stadt Finnlands und befindet sich etwa 160 Kilometer s\u00fcdwestlich von Helsinki. Im Hangon Rintamamuseo (Hanko Frontmuseum) und in der Ausstellung \u201eIn fremder Hand\u201c f\u00fchrte uns ein engagierter finnischer Offizier im Ruhestand durch die Bunker- und Panzerabwehranlagen, welche zum Schutz Finnlands vor bef\u00fcrchteten Angriffen der Roten Armee w\u00e4hrend der Besatzung der Hanko-Halbinsel nach der Niederlage im Winterkrieg 1940 an die Sowjetunion verpachtet werden musste.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
